Best Theme Theater 

Earlier this year, our client who is an Alumnus and former football player at The University of Notre Dame challenged us to create a sports theme Home Theater and Media Room with the ability to watch multiple sporting events at the same time. He also expressed a desire to watch movies on a very large screen.

With this input from our client, we set out to bring his dream to life!

To achieve this we used One 65" Samsung LED and Four 40" Samsung LED screens. Utilizing Crestron's Digital Media™ Video Distribution Technology, the client can view any of the 8 video sources on any display or a single video source on all of the 5 displays. One of the sources in the system is Crestron's ADMS (Advanced Digital Media Server) which gives the client the ability to access movies, music and internet media via touch of the button. The centerpiece of this theater is a Runco 3 Dimensional projector that projects an amazing 3 Dimensional image from any of the video sources on to a 130" Stewart recessed drop down projection screen. What is really unique about this theater is that it has the actual brick used at the Football Stadium in Notre Dame and historical pictures of all the famous sports icons of Notre Dame. That allowed us to hide the JBL Synthesis 7.2 surround sound system, one of the most advanced and sophisticated loud speakers in the market today.

In designing the luxurious décor of this dedicated Home Theater and Media Room, the client asked us if we could give it the same feeling as if you were watching the game from a seat inside Notre Dame Stadium.

We created the feeling of "being in the crowd" by surrounding three walls of the room with "smart art" images of a crowd at an actual game. This creates an actual "bowl effect". The room was designed with 11 Custom Dyed Acoustic Smart Cinema Loungers that exactly match the unique Blue and Gold at ND. The theater carpet was also custom dyed to match the blue and gold décor.

The ceiling has a unique custom fiber optic display with stars depicting the Little Dipper, Big Dipper and Orion and it is controlled by Crestron's ILux™ lighting control system. Two fiber optic illuminators create a fantastic shooting star effect.

Our client is delighted with the ease of use, functionality and entertainment flexibility that Crestron provides.

 We have certainly captured the theme and feeling of "Being at the Game" for this Notre Dame Alumnus.
